Sometimes you just need a break from the city. 

Life in the Paris area is culturally very rich. Learning to live, commute and work In a more French way has been an interesting test, an evolution of sorts. 

Opportunity and change can also be exhausting.

We are five days into our trip on the Cote d’Azur. Mostly we have gone for leisurely excursions to local sites or sitting staring at the enchanting sea. The sunlight is addictive.

I am also three days into my third cold of the season – I think the emotional letdown and new European viruses deserve the credit. 

The sea and sun are keeping my spirits up. Do we have to go home?
